North Cotabato | Carmen Town Hall

Carmen Town Hall

Some people call this the Carmen Mall because of its modern mall-like design. It even has an escalator inside. When we went inside, I was amused seeing an old man using the stairs instead of the escalator. My hands weren't quick enough to shoot that photo opportunity though. I was working on the "Dar-ul Salam" book project of the German Development Service (DED) and the Kadtuntaya Foundation, Inc. (KFI). This was one of the outtakes.

Or maybe the escalator is too advanced in the rural setting. :-)
